September Little Things

I'm not sure how it happened so quickly but the first six weeks of school are already over and we are about to start October.  Here are a few of our September little things:

I don't remember what she was so happy about but I sure do love this girl (and her blanket that she insists on taking everywhere!).
Parker ran for Student Council treasurer and had to give a speech in front of the whole school.  He was so nervous about his speech.  He came up short in the election but I was so proud of him for getting out of his comfort zone and trying.
Lily, Eden and I were twinkies on Friday Spirit Day at school!
Holland isn't a very affectionate baby so I took advantage of her wanting to sit in my lap while we read a story one afternoon.
Granna helped Lily pull her first top tooth this month.  It was barely hanging on so I was so happy to see that thing finally come out.  I love her new toothless grin!
I have still been attending Camp Gladiator workouts 2-3 times a week and I hit my 100th check in this month.  This is such a HUGE accomplishment for me!  This represents 100 hours that I have spent on myself and my health. I am so grateful to my trainers Dariana and Amanda for all of the encouragement they've given me over the past year.  My next goal is 150 check ins!

1st Six Weeks Awards

Every six weeks at Gerard, students are recognized for their hard work.  Students are recognized for making the A/B honor roll, perfect attendance, and two students in each class receive the Grizzly Greatness citizenship award.

Today was the awards program for the 1st 6 weeks.  Parker, Eden, and Lily all earned awards for A honor roll and perfect attendance.  I am so proud that all three of our kids have such a wonderful work ethic at school.  I know they are all going to do great things this year!
Lily was so excited to go up on stage to get her awards!

Lilly's Birthday Party

Today we got help Lily's friend, Lilly, celebrate her birthday at a local petting farm.  The girls got to pet goats, chickens, and horses.
They got to feed the goats their food out of an ice cream cone.
They got to gather eggs in the chicken coop.
After a lot of persuasion, I finally got Lily to ride the pony and she loved it!  I tried my hardest but never could get Eden on the horse.
Eden stuck with the smaller animals like the kittens and was as happy as can be!  It was a fun afternoon celebrating a sweet friend.

Great Wolf Lodge

We celebrated Addison's 10th birthday with a fun night at Great Wolf Lodge.  The kids had a blast at the water park together.  Luckily Uncle Jon was there to take them on all the big slides!
Addison loved being surprised with a cake, presents, and a birthday sign on the door.
Happy Birthday Addison! We hope you had a great birthday weekend!

Hawaiian Falls

The City of Mansfield had a family night at Hawaiian Falls last night.  Uncle Jon was working so Emily asked if we wanted to join them for a night at the water park.  The kids had a great time!  Since it was only open for city employees and their families, there were no lines and the kids got to go on the slides over and over again without any waiting.
They rode until it was so dark they couldn't see the slides!  It was such a fun evening and I hope we will get to go again next year!
