Girl's Night Out

The girls have been begging me to take them to the nail shop to get their nails painted, so last week we dropped Parker off at baseball practice and I surprised them with a girl's night out at the nail salon.  They picked their colors and settled into their chairs.
The girls both picked flowers for their special designs this time.
They were so proud of their new looks and couldn't wait to show their daddy when he got home.  I love getting to spend special time with my girls and look forward to many trips to the nail salon with them in years to come!

Easter 2015

We had a great Easter Sunday!  We woke up and let the kids open their Easter baskets and find the eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden around the house.  The kids were thrilled that some of the eggs had money in them!
After breakfast, we got dressed and headed to church.  The kids looked so nice in their Easter clothes this year!   I love that getting a good picture of all three of them is getting easier.
Sweet sisters!
After church, Emily and the kids came over for dinner and our annual Easter egg hunt at Granna's.  It had rained all night and was too wet to hide the eggs outside, so we moved our hunt indoors for the first time ever.  We had to be a little more creative with the hiding spots, especially for the bigger kids.  Each kid was assigned a color and could only find eggs in that color.
Finding the egg that was hidden in Granstan's shirt pocket!
Checking out their loot!
As always, dinner was amazing!  The kid loved the fruit bunny that Granna made for them and the cookies that Cole's mom made for us!
We had a great Easter Sunday with our family!  I'm so thankful for the days we get to spend with them and hope that as our lives continue to get busier and busier, we will still be able to find time to celebrate holidays together!

FUMC Easter Egg Hunt

Today was the annual Easter egg hunt at Mr. Reed's church.  It's the only egg hunt that we make sure to attend each year.  It wasn't very crowded this year and there were only about 10-12 kids in each age group which meant the kids got a lot of eggs.
Parker, Eden and Lily were all in different age groups this year which made it hard for me because I couldn't be in three places at once.  Luckily, Granna came and met us for the hunt and we were able to divide and conquer!  I went with Eden, she took Lily and Parker was old enough to go on his own.
After the hunt, we all came back together to see what kind of prize eggs they had found.  Lily was the luckiest one and won a huge stuffed lamb.  I couldn't have been more thrilled to have another stuffed animal to take home- ha!
We enjoyed a hot dog lunch provided by the church and then I let the kids play on the playground for a few minutes before we headed home.  As always, the kids had a great time and went home with very full Easter baskets!

Happy 6th Brthday Aubrey

Today my sweet niece, Aubrey, turns SIX!!!
Last weekend, we helped her celebrate her birthday with dinner and an Easter egg hunt at her house.  My sister offered to give her a birthday party but she chose just to have dinner with her cousins instead.  Emily made a great dinner and let the kids decorate their own Easter egg cupcake.

We also had a fun Easter egg hunt out on their land, which had a never ending amount of hiding spaces!
Tonight, on Aubrey's real birthday, we drove over to Mansfield and went to dinner with her.  After dinner, she picked Blizzards at Dairy Queen as her birthday treat.
Happy 6th Birthday, Aubrey Kate!  We love you sooooo much!
