Colorado 2019- Day 3

The last few summers we have taken the kids to the Adventure Park in Breckenridge, but each year it gets busier and more crowded.  We decided to try the Adventure Park in Copper Mountain this year to see if it was less crowded.  It was only a 20 minute drive and it had many of the same activities plus a few new ones for the kids to try.  It turned out to be a great idea!  There were hardly any crowds and the kids got to do several activities as many times as they wanted without waiting in any lines.
They decided to do the go-karts first.  Eden thought she wanted to drive but decided at the last minute that she wanted me to ride with her.
After go-karts, they all wanted to try bumper boats.  They ended up getting soaking wet but asked to go back and do it again several times throughout the day.
Next they zip-lined over the bumper boat pond.
After zip-lining, we stopped to eat lunch.  The guys found a washer game to play while we ate and relaxed for a few minutes.
After lunch, the kids wanted to try the Ninja obstacle course.  They all did a great job and most of them were able to make it up the warped wall.
Finally, they all jumped on the bungee trampoline.
It was such a fun day and we will definitely be going back to Copper Mountain again!

Colorado 2019- Day 2

We've been wanting to go white water rafting for a couple of summers but just didn't feel like the kids were quite old enough.  This year, we decided to give it a try!  It was very hard to go on a new adventure without Cory, but unfortunately we are going to have to get used to that.  There are just some things that we aren't going to be able to modify enough for him to do.  The kids and I were disappointed but still excited to try something new!

We were paired up with a great tour guide who quickly put my fears at ease.  Parker and I were in charge of helping steer the raft and the girls got to sit in the middle.  The first half of the river was fairly calm with very few rapids.  The rapids increased significantly in the second half of the river and we all got drenched on some of them!  Parker and Lily loved the rafting experience but Eden wasn't sure she'd want to do it again.
I was so thankful for Ben- our wonderful tour guide!  He was great with the kids and even better at keeping us safe on the raft!
It was a two hour drive to and from the rafting excursion so we were ready to relax in the hot tub by the time we got home.  It was a great day and definitely an experience the kids won't ever forget!

Colorado 2019- Day 1

We all made it to Colorado safely!  Cory and I came up a couple of days early and the kids rode with Granna/Granstan and Emily/Jon.  They drove all the way in one day and got here very late last night.  We slept in and walked around the farmer's market this morning while we waited for our house to get ready.  The kids all begged to get their faces painted so we finally gave in and let them.  Lily and Aubrey chose unicorns, Addison and Eden chose butterflies, and Ryan chose a snake.
We finally got into our house after lunch and the kids couldn't wait to get in the hot tub.  I think we're really going to enjoy being in a house this year rather than a condo.  The kids have the entire lower level to themselves and there is a lot of room for us to spread out.  I can already tell it's going to be a great week!

Pine Cove 2019

The girls just finished up another incredible week at Pine Cove Camp in the City.  They both had great counselors that made a huge impact in their lives and made so many fun memories with their friends!  We are so blessed that our church offers this to kids year after year!  They are sad it's over and are already looking forward to next summer!
