June Little Things

This summer is not off to a great start.  Cory is still very sick and we haven't had a chance to do very many things so far this summer.  The kids and I have tried to stay busy but it's not as fun without Cory.  Here are a few of the things we've enjoyed so far this month:

The girls got to spend the afternoon with the Wickliffe's and Mahaffey's.  They played with Legos and did some "real" baking with Ashley!
Cory couldn't go with me to our annual Rangers game in the Capital One Club so Parker joined me! We had so much fun watching the game and eating so much food!  We were so full by the time we left!
Parker is still an avid reader and he still LOVES Maggie!
Everyone came to Cleburne to celebrate Holland's 2nd birthday with a cookout and swim party.  It was the triplets first trip to Cleburne and we got our first picture of all 10 cousins together.
Lily enjoyed helping her best friend, Jery, celebrate her birthday at her swim party.  I hope this will be the first of many birthdays these sweet friends get to celebrate together!

Summer Camp at Mrs. Humphreys

Because Cory has been so sick this summer, we haven't been able to do much as a family.  Instead, the girls have been attending some of Mrs. Humphreys' day camps at her house.  She always has a lot of fun things planned for the kids to do like play with her chickens,
swing on her tree swings,
relax in her hammock,
play with her mice,
and of course, enjoy lots of snacks!  The girls love to go and play with some of their classmates and hang out with Mrs. Humphreys!
I'm thankful that the girls have been able to get out of the house and do something fun this summer!  Mrs. Humphreys is definitely one of the best and the girls have loved spending time with her the past few weeks!

Happy 20th Anniversary!

Today Cory and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary! We were supposed to be on an anniversary trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee but Cory has been very sick lately so we had to cancel our trip.  Cory was recently diagnosed with a thyroid disorder called Grave's Disease.  Some of the symptoms are extreme fatigue, sweating, heart palpitations, and weight loss.  We really wanted to go on the trip, but knew he would not be able to handle a trip right now.

My mom still agreed to keep the kids for two nights so yesterday we decided to take a short day trip to the Magnolia Silos in Waco.
We walked around, ate at the food trucks, and enjoyed a cupcake from the bakery.
Tonight, we went to dinner at our favorite steakhouse, Del Frisco's.
It was not how we wanted to spend our anniversary but we made the best of it.  Hopefully, we can make up for it next summer when Cory is feeling better.  Happy Anniversary, Cory! I love you very much!

Meeting the Triplets

The triplets are finally all home from the NICU!  Hadley was the first to come home.  Luke was next and Kathryn was last.  I got to go last week and meet them and the kids were finally able to meet them this week.  They are so tiny but so very sweet! I'm already in love!
Luke
The girls were SO excited to finally get to meet the babies!  They couldn't get enough of them!
Holland has adjusted well to becoming a big sister!  She still loves to spend time with Eden and Lily.
Parker finally got to meet them when they came to Cleburne for their first visit to Granna's house.
We are so thankful that they are all finally home and doing well!  I foresee a lot of snuggle time with them this summer!

41st Birthday

Today Emily and I celebrated our 41st birthday!  We met for dinner at Antonio's- one of our favorite Mexican restaurants.
The kids picked out our cake this year- a yummy chocolate chip cookie cake!

I'm hoping this year is a good one for both me and Emily!
