March Little Things

Eden got new bedding and the girls decided they needed to celebrate with a sleepover!
Lily and I enjoyed a little treat after school one day!
Spring baseball has started!  Parker is still playing with the Diamond Kings.  I can't wait to watch him play this season.
Eden has enjoyed attending AWANA at Field Street Baptist this year.  She was so excited to show off her crazy hair one night!
Cory and I went to our first Rangers game of the season, courtesy of Drs. Ranelle and Hu.  I hope we will be able to take the kids to a game before the season is over.
Granna made Easter cookies one day and wanted to recreate a picture that she took with Parker and Addison many years ago.
They've all changed just a little bit!
Eden and Lily were invited to Grace and Brooke's birthday party.  Lily loved getting to ride the pony.  Eden really wanted to try but just couldn't make herself get up on it this time.
It's been a fun but busy month!  We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the triplets next month.  Lots of exciting times are ahead!

FUMC Easter Egg Hunt

Today was the annual FUMC Easter Egg hunt.  Addison and Parker are too old to hunt now but the younger 4 cousins had fun!  Eden and Aubrey were in the same hunting group and Lily and Ryan hunted together.
Eden and Ryan H.- her friend from school
They came away with a ton of candy and prizes and were all sweet enough to share some of their prizes with Addison.
And of course, it wouldn't be Easter without a picture with the Easter Llama! Wait, what? I thought it was supposed to be a bunny!  Only in Cleburne would there be a llama at the Easter egg hunt!

Spring Break

We had a very low key spring break this year.  Since Meredith was on bed rest and living with my parents, they were not able to make their annual trip to Florida.  One afternoon, my dad came over and took the kids fishing in the pond behind our house.
Lily was very proud of her catch!
Parker caught one too!
We spent on afternoon playing with the cousins at their house.  Their neighbors were out of town so they were taking care of their 10 puppies.  The kids had a great time playing with the puppies!
They also had fun playing in tents with the cousins.
We ended the week with St. Patrick's Day.  I usually try to do some fun "green" things but I dropped the ball on it this year.  I did manage to get a picture of the kids in their green shirts.
It wasn't exciting but it was a relaxing week and I enjoyed being at home with the kids for a few days.  It's back to school tomorrow and summer will be here before we know it!

Two Road Trips

I recently took two long road trips- one to see my family and one to see Cory's.  They were fun but exhausting trips since we only stayed one night in each place.

Last weekend, Lily and I rode with my parents, Emily and Aubrey to Snyder for my cousin's funeral.  It was a five hour drive but Lily and Aubrey waited until we were 30 minutes away from our destination to fall asleep!
They loved staying in the hotel and eating the continental breakfast!
All of my dad's siblings were able to make it to the funeral.
Several of my other cousins were able to come too.  It was so good to see them and catch up with them.  I hate that we were there under such sad circumstances but it's always nice to visit with family that you don't see very often.
These were all the great grandkids that were there. Five of them belong to my cousin that lives in Snyder.  Lily and Aubrey loved getting to play with her younger two kids.
This past weekend, we drove to Lubbock for Cory's Aunt Ida's surprise 80th birthday party.  She had no idea we were coming and was so surprised to see everyone.

We haven't seen Cory's brother, Steven, in over a year so it was great to see him.
It was so nice to see family on both sides of our family but it felt nice to finally get home.  Two long road trips in two weekends is exhausting!  I'm so thankful that spring break is this week and we have several days to rest and catch up!
