April Little Things

I've been attending workouts with Camp Gladiator for a year and a half now and this week I hit 150 check-ins.
Eden had fun at Delainy's birthday party at the new local paint-your-own-pottery shop.
The kids all received Perfect Attendance and A Honor Roll certificates at the 5th Six Weeks awards program.  I am always so proud of their hard work and effort at school.
Lily called me outside one afternoon to surprise me with this:
We finished up spring baseball this month.  We played in a prime league in Burleson this season and loved having games during the week rather than on the weekends.  I hope our team decides to play in this league again.  They came in first place for games played and 2nd place in the final tournament.
With the birth of the triplets, this month has flown by!  And we are about to head into one of the busiest months of the year with all of our end of the year school activities.  But summer is in now sight and I'm ready for it!!

Field Day 2018

Today was Parker's birthday AND Field Day at Gerard!  This is always one of the kid's favorite days of the entire school year.  Lily had her events in the morning and Parker and Eden were in the afternoon.  They all had a great time and were worn out by the end of the day.
Lily got first place in her running events and her class won the Spirit Award for first grade.
Lily and her best friend, Jery
Eden also placed first in her running events.
She has such a sweet class this year.
It's hard to believe that this is Parker's last field day.  Next year he will be off to middle school.
Thanks to Coach Bell for making today so fun!

Parker's 11th Birthday

Today Parker turned 11 years old!  It won't be long before we have a teenager in the house!  We started the morning with presents before school.
We surprised him with a new baseball bat.
For dinner, we met Emily, Jon, and the cousins for dinner aat Rosa's.
Parker didn't want a birthday party this year.  He just wanted to take a few friends to the movies.  Cory took them but didn't get any pictures.

We are so proud of Parker and all that he has accomplished in the past 11 years.  He makes us proud every day and I can't wait to see what the next year brings for him.

11 Years Old

Parker-
Another year has come and gone and you are growing so fast!  You continue to amaze me with all of your achievements.  Daddy and I are so proud of the young man you are becoming.  Here are some of the things I always want to remember about you as you start a new year:

- You are getting so tall!  You are taller than Granna now and it won't be long before you are taller than me! You are still one of the tallest boys in your class.  You weigh over 100 pounds and wear size 14/16 clothes and 9/10 shoes.

- You love to eat and can eat a lot!  Your favorite food is still spaghetti.  You also love pizza, hamburgers, tacos, and chips and salsa, bacon, fruit, and yogurt.

- You still love to read and can read an entire 300-400 page book in one day if you put our mind to it.  Your favorite books this year have been The Hunger Games series and any Percy Jackson series.  You still love Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Big Nate books too.

- You continue to perform well in school but you are definitely getting ready for a change.  5th grade has been good but I know you're ready to move on and start middle school. I have a feeling that you are going to love the freedom that comes with middle school.

- You just finished band tryouts and instrument selection.  Next year, you are gong to play trumpet in the band.  I can't wait to see what you think of it!

- You still love sports!  You had a great basketball season and learned so much from playing on the prime team.  You still love baseball and have become a really good, consistent pitcher for your team.

- You take your role as big brother very seriously and are constantly bothering your sisters!  You sometimes need reminders that your job as a big brother is not just to bug your sisters but to encourage and support them too!

-You are helpful around the house and I can always count on you to get your chores done without having to ask.

- Your favorite thing to do in your free time is to play video games.  You enjoy playing Roblox and have just started playing Fortnite.  You love when Daddy joins you during your game time!

- You LOVE Maggie and the bond you have with her is strong.  I am so glad we convinced Daddy to get a dog several years ago.  I love watching you play and snuggle with her every day.  She knows just who to come to when she wants a bite of bacon at breakfast!

You are an amazing kid, Parker, and I feel so blessed that I get to be your mom!  I pray that this next year proves to be your best one yet!

I love you to the moon and back! Mom

CEC Day at the Railroaders

Because the eye clinic has season tickets for the Cleburne Railroaders, they have access to the stadium twice a year for events.  This year, they held their annual Christmas party there and then they started the first annual CEC softball tournament.
Spike, the Railroaders mascot, even made an appearance at the event.
The girls enjoyed spending time with Jewell.
And they loved the face paintings!
Cory, Parker, and I all played softball with the employees and their families.  Parker ran the bases for both him and Cory.
The clinic provided hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch.  The kids had fun eating on the dugout!
After lunch, they had lots of games for the kids, including a sack race.  The winners got Sweet Frog gift cards.
Bad thunderstorms in the area cut our afternoon short, but we still had a great time!  We are thankful to the partners for planning such a fun, family event and hope this is something they will do again next year!
