Colorado 2019- Day 2

We've been wanting to go white water rafting for a couple of summers but just didn't feel like the kids were quite old enough.  This year, we decided to give it a try!  It was very hard to go on a new adventure without Cory, but unfortunately we are going to have to get used to that.  There are just some things that we aren't going to be able to modify enough for him to do.  The kids and I were disappointed but still excited to try something new!

We were paired up with a great tour guide who quickly put my fears at ease.  Parker and I were in charge of helping steer the raft and the girls got to sit in the middle.  The first half of the river was fairly calm with very few rapids.  The rapids increased significantly in the second half of the river and we all got drenched on some of them!  Parker and Lily loved the rafting experience but Eden wasn't sure she'd want to do it again.
I was so thankful for Ben- our wonderful tour guide!  He was great with the kids and even better at keeping us safe on the raft!
It was a two hour drive to and from the rafting excursion so we were ready to relax in the hot tub by the time we got home.  It was a great day and definitely an experience the kids won't ever forget!
