Colorado 2020- Day 1

When COVID began and many states went into lockdown, we wondered if we were going to be able to go to Colorado this year.  And then we found out that HikeMS had been cancelled due to the pandemic.  We knew that our trip would look different from all of our other years, but we just couldn't imagine a summer without being in the mountains (even if everything was different) so we found a condo and headed to Breckenridge- our favorite place in Colorado.
We made a quick stop in Amarillo to see Katherine, our good friend from college.  We had not seen her in several years so it was great to visit and catch up.
We have 10 kids between the 3 of us and it was fun to see how much they had grown since the last time we were there.
Kat's daughter, JennaKate, made the kids sno-cones while we were there.  Ryan was quite the fan of his!
We had a few hours to kill before our condo was ready so we stopped in Colorado Springs to visit Garden of the Gods.  The kids loved climbing on the rocks and getting some energy out especially after being in the car for two days.
Garden of the Gods was beautiful and a great way to spend our afternoon but we couldn't wait to get to Breckenridge later that day!
