Fort Worth Zoo

Today Lily's class went on a field trip to the Fort Worth Zoo.  Unfortunately, I had to stay at school to administer the STAAR test and couldn't go with her.  Thankfully, Granna was able to slip away for a few hours and met her there.  

Lily chose to walk around the zoo with her best friend, Jery, and Jery's family.

Granna spoiled her with a cute meerkat from the gift shop and a sweet treat on the ride home!

I'm sad I missed out on such a fun day but I am glad she got some special time with Granna.  What a fun way to end her first grade year!
