Colorado- Day 3- Tumble Bubbles and the Stomach Bug

We started our first full day in Breckenridge playing at our favorite park in the downtown square.  The kids have outgrown the slide but I don't think they'll ever outgrow playing in the sand!

After lunch, we decided to take our first hike with the kids.  On the way to the hike, we passed the Tumble Bubbles that the kids played in last year.  They talked about them all year long and begged to do them again this year.  Since there was no line, we stopped and let them do them before the hike.  The kids all loved them and because there was no one else in line, they got to have some extra play time in the balls.
On the walk to the hike, Ryan started complaining of a tummy ache.  As soon as we got in line, he started vomiting. Poor baby was so sick and we were sad that he didn't get to play in the balls with the rest of the cousins.

Because Ryan got sick, we postponed our hike and let the kids play in the river instead.
Eden was one of the first ones to make it across to the rock.
After the rock, they all waded over to the grassy island.  At that point, Eden freaked out and started crying.  We could not get her to come back to the river bank.  We tried everything we could think of and, after what seemed like hours, Parker was finally able to get her to wade back to the river bank.  He's such a great big brother!
Poor Ryan was sick all afternoon so we just hung around the condo that evening and played on the stairs!  We also crossed our fingers that no one else caught the dreaded stomach bug!
It wasn't what we had planned but the kids (minus Ryan) still had a fun first day in the mountains!
