Dinosaur World

Cory was off of work today and the weather was beautiful so we loaded up the kids and headed over to Dinosaur World in Glen Rose to use a Groupon that I bought several months ago. Dinosaur World is a park that has life size recreations of dinosaurs. We weren't sure what to expect but the kids really enjoyed it! It was not crowded at all so we were able to let the kids run along the path and look at the dinosaurs at their own pace without worrying about losing them.  They "oohed" and "aahed" every time they came upon a new statue.  They would look at the name plaque, ask Cory or I to read the name of the dinosaur, and then ask if it was a good dinosaur (plant eater) or mean dinosaur (meat eater).  As soon as they got their answers, they were off to the next one.  Their favorite was definitely T Rex, probably because it was the only one they had ever heard of!
Lily was such a trooper!  She chilled in the stroller and occasionally pointed to some of the really big dinosaurs!

After we finished looking at all of the dinosaurs, the kids wanted to play on the playground. As always, they enjoyed climbing, sliding, and especially swinging.
Cory told the kids that this dinosaur was named the playground-o-saurus!

We had a great time and could not have asked for more perfect weather! It was nice to take a few hours to spend time together as a family of 5 before the craziness of the holidays begins this weekend. The kids really seemed to enjoy themselves and we will definitely have to go back again when they get bigger!
