We had a great Christmas with my family this year! Because Uncle Jon had to work on Christmas Day, we celebrated on Christmas Eve.
We told the kids they couldn't open any presents until they took some family pictures and it worked like a charm! There are definitely some advantages to the kids getting older!
Silly faces!
A little puppy love in between pictures!
As soon as pictures were taken, the kids couldn't wait to open their stockings and presents.
We had four very surprised and excited girls when they opened their gift from Granna and Granstan- their very own American Girl doll!
Granstan got Parker his very own drone! I think the adults are going to enjoy playing with this just as much as Parker!
Granstan also made each family their very own tetherball set. I see a lot of family tetherball competitions in the future!
After presents and dinner, Granna played several games with the kids including Pass the Present and Pin the Nose on Frosty.
Instead of acting out the Nativity this year, Granna decided to try something new- a handbell choir! The kids learned and performed "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" for all of the adults. Despite having only practiced a couple of times, they did an excellent job! I can't wait to see what songs they will learn next year!
We ended the evening making cotton candy in the new cotton candy maker that Granna got all the kids.
We had such a fun day! I am so blessed to have such a close knit family. I honestly can't imagine doing life without each and every one of them. I love holidays that bring us all together and allow us to spend quality time together. I can't wait until next year when we have a new little one to love!
