Happy Valentine's Day

February 14, 2016

We started celebrating Valentine's Day on the first day of February by putting "love hearts" on the kids.  Every day, we added a heart to each kids door telling one thing we love about them.  The kids loved waking up every morning to see what their new heart said about them!  We also encouraged them to write hearts to each other. It was fun to see what they wrote about their siblings.  We all enjoyed this activity and I hope it is something we can do every year!
The kids all enjoyed their Valentine's Day parties at school and came home with lots and lots of goodies!

I also got to go to a second grade party to help one of my students who has a hard time in unstructured situations.  This is the first party she has every successfully attended and she had a great time!
The kids got a little Valentine's Day treat from Cory and I!
Cory and I were able to get away for a special Valentine's Day dinner with Heath and Brende at Eddie V's.  The food was great and the guys surprised us with some gorgeous flowers!
It was fun to do some special things on Valentine's Day to show the kids how much we love them but I hope they will always know how deep our love is for them not just on Valentine's Day but every day of the year!
