Thursday School End of Year/Graduation Program

This afternoon, we enjoyed watching Eden, Lily and Ryan participate in their Thursday School program/graduation.  I'm not a very sentimental person, but I have to admit that I did get a little teary when all of the kids marched in to the graduation music.  The past 5 years have gone so quickly and all I could think about as I watched Eden walk in is that I'm going to blink my eyes and she is going to be graduating from high school.

Cory and I weren't sure how the girls were going to do in their program.  The last time we went through a program like this, Eden spent the entire thing crying hysterically which caused me to want to run up on the stage and rescue her from her misery.  The girls have been talking excitedly about their program for weeks, so we had high hopes that they both be fine, but you just never know with our kids.

Luckily, we had nothing to worry about!  They both marched in confidently with their friends and then sang all of the songs, complete with hand motions!  Even Ryan sat on the steps and sang his little heart out!
After all of the classes finished several songs, each individual class came up on stage and performed one song.  Eden's class sang "Sally the Camel" and Lily's sang "Here We Go Looby Loo".  The girls both sang and smiled and (in our opinion) were the stars of the show!  We could not have been more proud (and maybe a little surprised!) at how well they did.  Finally, they recognized each of the graduates and presented them with a diploma and a new Bible.
We were so pleased with how smoothly the entire program went.  The girls even let us take a lot of pictures after the program without any complaints.
The girls had such a wonderful year!  We were blessed with two fabulous teachers who loved and nurtured our girls all year long!  We will definitely miss our friends at Thursday School and are so thankful for all of the memories that they made during the year!
