Happy 7th Birthday Parker

We spent last weekend celebrating Parker's 7th birthday.  We started the festivities on Friday morning with birthday pancakes at Granna's house.  It is her tradition to make the birthday boy (or girl) a special pancake in the shape of the number they are turning.
Friday night, Grandma and Aunt Sondra took all three kids to see a play at the local children's theater.  They all enjoyed it and they especially love getting an ice cream treat at Sweet Frog after the play!

We had Parker's birthday party on Saturday.  He chose to have a Ninja Turtle party at home this year so we rented a bounce house and ordered pizza for his friends.  The kids all had a blast jumping in the bounce house, playing baseball in the yard, and swinging on the swing set.  The weather was perfect... we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day!
Parker got some fun things from his friends and family but the favorite gift had to be his new pet fish from Jolea.  Eden and Lily were just as excited about the fish as Parker was!

As always, I made Parker's ninja turtle cakes this year.  They weren't perfect, but Parker loved them so it was worth all the time and effort I put into them.
This year, we made the boys put on a blindfold to hit the piñata.  We knew if we didn't they would have broken it open on the first swing!
The kids all had a great time at the party and were definitely ready for bed that night!

Sunday was Parker's actual birthday so we extended the celebration for another day with birthday cinnamon rolls for breakfast, presents from Mommy and Daddy, his favorite Mexican food for lunch and another trip to Sweet Frog for a final birthday treat after dinner.
We had a great weekend celebrating Parker!  We hope he always knows how special he is to our family! Happy 7th Birthday Parker!  We love you very much!
